Local Art from the Tri-State Area!

This small art museum, housed in an historic 1903 manor house, features art by local artists in a variety of mediums. The permanent collections in this Long Island art museum come in a variety of mediums including prints, photographs, paintings, sculpture and more.

The changing art exhibitions highlight contemporary art by artists both national and international. Art lovers will enjoy coming back several times a year to see the featured exhibitions which highlight artists or specific topics relevant to the art community. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday. Admission is suggested as a donation of $3 per visitor.

The Long Island art collections at this museum span 500 years of art in the west. When you visit this wonderful museum you can view paintings and works of art from the original collection of August Heckscher, the museum's founder, which include works by famous European artists as well as local Long Island artists. Visitors will enjoy walking through the permanent collections of abstract art, American modernist paintings and photography by such famous artsts as Goergia O'Keeffe, Man Ray and Guy Pene Du Bois.

Art education programs for all grades take place throughout the year with a goal to impart to young minds an appreciation for arts of all type. Tickets cost $8 for adults and $5 for children 10 and up - discounted rates are available to residents of Huntington Township. The museum is open from Wednesday through Sunday year round.
