Master your horseback riding skills as you explore the amazingly scenic trails of Hempstead Lake State Park. All hour-long trail rides are available to anyone age 13 or older.
The endless list of activities and programs at Lakewood includes English and Western riding lessons, summer camps, girl/boy scouts, brownies, pony rides, birthday parties, boarding, horse care clinics, and horse training. All novice riders are encouraged to take 30-minute private lessons before signing up for group lessons.

A prime location for Long Island horseback riding, Sweet Hills Stables contains over 900 acres of scenic bridle paths. The venue also includes three outdoor lighted rings and an indoor lighted riding arena. Enjoy hour-long, guided trail rides in beautiful West Hills County Park. Riders must be 8 years of age or older and a minimum of 2 people are required.
Whether you're a beginning or advanced rider, you can sign up for English or Western riding lessons. Also available are horse boarding services, summer camps, and pony parties. For your riding convenience, Sweet Hills is open all year round, 7 days a week! Hours are 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. everyday.
