Long Island Aquarium

Many Interactive Exhibits!

This delightful aquarium on Long Island has both indoor and outdoor exhibits displaying a wide array of aquatic animals from around the world. When you head indoors you can see the artificial reef made out of a shipwreck - watch several types of fish that call reefs home swim in and out of the holes and crevices created by the reef. The Touch Tank gives visitors a chance to see what a horseshoe crab, clam, sea star and hermit crab feel like as you pet these small sea creatures.

On nice days the outdoor exhibits are a wondrous place of discovery and magic. Watch a sea lion show at the Sea Lion Coliseum, snorkel with rays in Shark Reef Lagoon, and see penguins as they waddle along the ground or soar gracefully through the water below. You will not run out of things to do and see at this Long Island aquarium. Open from 10am to 5pm year round except for Christmas Day.
