The National Museum of the American Indian cultivates understanding of the history and culture of the Native American Indian. The Museum houses more than 825,000 items of historical relic and records of many tribal native Indians, most of the collections come from North America. The museum also promotes the works of living ancestors of native Indians, including its film and video center, which features films by and about native Indian.
