Fun Learning At the Glencairn Museum
Glencairn Museum was the home of Raymond and Mildred Pitcairn. The site was built in the Romanesque style during the years between 1928 and 1939. In the year 1980, after Mildred Pitcairn had passed away, Glencairn was given to the Academy of the New Church to house their museum collection. After that, the Glencairn is now currently serving as a museum of serving the Academy of the New Church schools, the history of religion and the broader public.
The aim of the Glencairn Museum in PA is to educate the visitors about the history of religion, using art and artifacts from a variation of cultures and time periods. The galleries use the collections to illustrate the beliefs of a lot different religions which includes Ancient Egyptian, Medieval Christian, Asian, Greek and Roman and Native American.
