The Elmwood Park Zoo in PA was established in the year 1924. It was established when a local farmer has transferred  a lot of 16 acres and small menagerie to the Borough of the Norristown. Currently, the Elmwood Park Zoo is operated and owned by the Norristown Zoological Society. This society is a non profit organization who aims to foster to everyone an appreciation of the wildlife and animals' habitat that will be inspiring active participation in the conservation!

With the society's careful management, the Elmwood Park Zoo was able to maintain and attain an elite status as one of the 225 institutions that has been accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. For more information,visit the website now.
