Swim in the Park
Astoria Park is one of the largest open spaces in Queens. A lot of greenery, beautiful flora and fauna, and a peaceful environment make the park one of the best places for daily outings with friends and family. You can enjoy many amenities the park offers, such as outdoor tennis and basketball courts, multiple trails, and playgrounds that attract visitors from others parts of NYC.
The main attraction is New York City's oldest and largest swimming pool. It was used for qualifying events for the 1936 and 1964 Summer Olympics. Outdoor pool hours are free and open to the public from 11:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m., with a break for a pool cleaning between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
