This Queens art museum is dedicated to the history and evolution of the moving image from cinema to video games. In addition to regularly changing special exhibitions, this enthralling museum has a large permanent exhibition called "Behind the Screen." This permanent exhibtion displays artifacts and items such as sound recording equipment, old video games (which visitors can try their hand at!), film reels, cameras, televisions and much more.

Interactive displays and live demonstrations keep both kids and adults engaged in the museum experience. The Museum of the Moving Picture is one of the most interesting art museums in Queens. Open Tuesday through Sunday, adult admission is $12.
