Ride on Over 400 Acres of Wooded Trails!

Serving riders of all abilities since 1972, Jamaica Bay Riding Academy provides you with some of the finest horse back riding Brooklyn has to offer.  Located in Brooklyn's Gateway National Wildlife Preserve, the venue encompasses over 400 acres of manicured wooded trails and three miles of beach front.

Enjoy such wonderful equestrian activities as trail riding, lessons, horse leasing, horse shows, summer camps, and therapeutic riding.  Amenities include a 160 x 325' outdoor arena, a heated/air-conditioned lounge, and a 200 x 100' indoor arena.  On site you'll also find an Olympic size dressage arena, an intermediate cross-country course, and a full tack and apparel tack shop.
