Hudson River Valley Greenway

Hudson River Valley Greenway

One of the Best Manhattan Bike Trails!

The Hudson River Valley Greenway was created in 1991 to establish a network of multi-use trails along both sides of the Hudson River.  The trail system consists of a land trail for biking and walking, as well as a water trail for paddling and boating.  The land trail is by far the biggest car-free bike and pedestrian path in Manhattan, running 11 miles between Battery Park and the Little Red Lighthouse under the George Washington Bridge.

During the trail you'll pass through Hudson River Park, Riverside Park South, Riverside Park, Fort Washington Park, and other locations.  If you need to know where all the Greenway Trails are located, a map is provided on the website.  Look up directions to all the different trail heads, along with parking areas at each point.
