Join us at Chateau Stables, in the heart of Manhattan, for some unique fun for all ages! Visit a historical, active, working horse stable in Manhattan NY. Take a tour of the facility, pet, brush and play with the horses and ponies. We have walk-up pony rides available all Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year. We have ponies and horses suitable for all ages and sizes, even adults can ride!

We are a venue for themed pony birthday parties, or we can bring a decorated pony to your location for a party, store opening, business function, restaurant, or just about anything else you could imagine. Enchant your friends and children with our clean and friendly ponies in our unique urban setting.

Ride on the historic Bridle Path in Central Park!
Ride a horse on the historic bridle path in Central Park! It has been years since horses have been seen regularly on the bridle paths in Central Park, and Chateau Stables is bringing back that beautiful tradition. We have horses available for all ages, sizes and levels of experience. Our instructors and guides are extremely knowledgeable and experienced and are there to help you. We also offer riding assistance on the bridle paths for adults and children with disabilities for no additional charge. A lesson program is in development as well.

Chateau Stables is the oldest and the smallest remaining active horse stable in Manhattan. Its rich history begins in the 1800s when it was built as one of the first livery stables on the West Side of Manhattan. It is also the only family-run stable in the area. Chateau Stables was established in 1967 and is known for providing theatrical animals for film, movies and TV, as well as horses and carriages for weddings, hay rides and other events.
