This Manhattan Library is Certified 'Green!'

Manhattan's first green library, the Battery Park City Library is a great place to come for a few quiet hours. Bright open spaces create an atmosphere of airy calm which is perfect for studying, researching or reading. The upstairs community space is used often for events, exhibits, and shows.

This Manhattan public library features a large collection of over 30,000 books and periodicals, separated reading areas for adults, children and young adults, copy machines and public computers and printers where visitors to the library can print their homework or research documents. Events take place regularly including children's storytime, homework help sessions, educational workshops and teen clubs.
